Sunlight

When I see you,
I see sunlight
I see the brightness of stars,
I see the expanse of space,
       Condense into a small area
Around you.

It burns with the strength of the sun,
It is blinding,
It is enlightening,
It is golden,
It is beautiful.

I can see you from miles away,
I can see your glow.
I feel your presence,
I feel your power,
I feel your radiation of light.

It is bound to me,
It is bound to the world,
It holds me down,
It raises me up.
It keeps me still,
And tears me a part.
It is you
It is your smile,
It is your laugh,
It is your eyes.
And I can't find a way to express how I feel.
